StockEagle Stock Filter        prev.jpg (821 bytes)   next.jpg (821 bytes)

By default StockEagle will show you events from ALL the 6000 stocks in the StockEagle database
of both the NASDAQ and NYSE market.

In many cases you might want to filter this large list down to a more specific subset of stocks
you are basically interested in and not have STockEagle come up with stocks which
basically dont interest you (like the price too high/low etc).

This function allows you to limit the results to stocks based on the following three criteria:

1. Price Range (200 day average or last closing price)
2. Volume Range (200 day average)
3. Number of Trades Range (50 day average)
4. NASDAQ or NYSE/AMEX only (or both)

You have the option to either combine all these criteria (AND) or
to merge results from three criteria (OR).

Here is a sample Filter screen:
wpe7.jpg (48291 bytes)

In this sample we are filtering for
a) a closing price between $4 and $60 (3946 matches)   AND
b) Volume of at least 100,000 shares (blank fields indicate no limit up or down) (2820 matches) AND
c) at least 100 trades per day (2572 matches)
d) Only NASDAQ (2472 matches)

Yields a total of 980 stock symbols to match ALL these conditions.

These results are immediatelly displayed when you click on the "Retrieve Result" button.
To see the actual list of symbols fulfilling the current filter click on "View Result".

Once you are satisfied with your filter criteria and the result click on "Activate Now"
to start watching these stock selection.
StockEagle will remember from now on your custom selection,
so next day you just click on "Start Scan" to again activate your list.

We suggest at least on a weekly basis to rerun the filter to keep up to date,
since new stocks appear, prices change and stocks split or change their ticker symbol.

NOTE:
To reduce overhead use the "Permanently shrink Database" button.
To filter on intraday factors use the configure system function

If you have already a preselectd custom list of stocks you want to monitor copy your list
(one ticker symbol per line) to MAIN.TXT and click on "Start Scan" which will then use your list.

Note: If you are using your custom list dont run the filter since it will override MAIN.TXT
with the new results from the filter.
